I think there are times when you're troubled to a degree where you don't notice the loneliness inside yourself. Life is going on as usual, you believe all is well. Then at just the right time and place, there is that one special person who, perhaps you didn't even realize was paying attention, comes along and sees a need in you.
Before you know it you've reached out to them, they've answered the call, and a friendship is born. In answering the call and giving you a helping hand, maybe they didn't have the chance to see yet - you were in the right place at the right time too - you are filling a space in them as well.
